Food Purchaser, IMS Purchasing
You have the responsibility to lead the
purchasing process for the company food areas. You will actively improve and
develop the company IMS business in Asia Pacific as well as to lead and follow the
company IMS purchase concept. An important part of your role is to build trustful
relations with stakeholders and suppliers to achieve the best solutions.
Together with the stakeholders you will ensure the compliance of agreements.
You will be responsible for sourcing all
local products in the national company Food range and to secure the suppliers
comply with all company requirements on quality and sustainability, including
animal welfare. You will have the responsibility for leading purchase projects
from the very start to the final agreements, together with our stakeholders at
company Retail Food. You, together with the team, will secure the best buy for company. You need to build trustful relations with stakeholders and suppliers to
achieve the best solutions. You will be part of a Category Food purchasing
matrix network within the IKEA Group and you will belong to the company IMS Japan
purchase team, which is part of the regional purchase area Asia Pacific.
About you
We are looking for you with a university
degree within Business school, Food processing/agricultural engineering school,
or corresponding knowledge. You have at least 3 years previous experience from
food purchasing activities and experience of food purchasing procedures and
food safety.

open for feedback and share your knowledge with others as well as service
minded and a good relationship builder. As a person you have a business
mindset, are driven and have excellent negotiation skills. You know how to work
with cost drivers in the purchasing part of the supply chain. You are a good
leader with great co-operation and communication skills and you like to
interact with people and build trustworthy relations.
You speak and
write both Japanese and English and it¡¯s a plus of you also know Korean.
This position is
placed in Tokyo, Funabashi
(Chiba) and you
will report to the County Purchase Manager.
