The key responsibilities will be:
Ø Leading the Korea R&D team (2 scientist, 4 engineers, plus tech team / pilot plant - total headcount of 10). Output is focused on
o Validation
o Customer demos
o Technology application
Ø Coordinating all technical activity to support long range strategy to grow at Samsung, as well as Hynix and other customers as needed
Ø Contributing to the long range strategy to innovate to meet customer need and deliver growth
Ø Slurry new product introduction and development
Ø Leading the pilot plant
Ø Likely balance of time between internal & external is 50/50.
Requirements:
- Clear communication with R&D in Aurora HQ
- Strong customer relationships (Samsung & Hynix) – as measured by product opportunities, NPI introduction, etc
- R&D team continuing to be well- functioning, cooperative and productive – individual will earn the respect of the team
- PHD from a good university (SKY if Korean, or US equivalent)
o Chemistry / Chem Eng / Material Science / Polymer Engineering
- Currently or previously worked at Samsung, or possibly Hynix or a customer
o If from Samsung, likely Junior Director to Senior Director level
- Strong knowledge of the semi-conductor industry
- 10+ years of work experience (R&D or the Fab)
